The Institute of Plasma (IOP) at Feng Chia University was established on November 17, 2018. It is jointly organized by Fraunhofer Institute for Surface Engineering and Thin Films (Fraunhofer IST) and Established jointly by Feng Chia University, the two parties signed a memorandum of cooperation with it in May 2018 to establish a joint laboratory in the field of plasma engineering, support the exchange of researchers from both sides, promote the cooperation between the two sides, commit to integrating the research technology and resources related to plasma technology in the school, carry out cross-department research and technical cooperation, cultivate excellent plasma technology talents, and improve the research and development capabilities and industry of plasma technology in Taiwan.
